(CNA reporter Chen Chun-hua, Taipei, July 3) The Legislative Yuan will hold a roll-call vote on the confirmation of nominees for the Central Election Commission (CEC) today, with voting commencing at 1 PM. The voting period will last for one hour, concluding at 2 PM. If all committee members complete their votes before the deadline, the ballots will be counted earlier.
On April 21, the Executive Yuan submitted the nominations of Shen Shu-fei, former counselor of the Executive Yuan; Tsai Wei-che, a lawyer; and Huang Mou-hsin, Vice Minister of Justice, as CEC members for review by the Legislative Yuan.
According to the conclusion of the morning's legislative caucus negotiation, all caucuses agreed to first address the general proposals listed under "Discussion Matters" before proceeding to the roll-call vote on the CEC nominee confirmations this afternoon. The Legislative Yuan will commence the roll-call vote on the CEC nominee confirmations starting at 1 PM. (Editor: Su Lung-chi) 1150703
