(CNA Taipei, July 2) U.S. Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Director Sandra Oh recently met with Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung and several ambassadors to Taiwan, with attendees reiterating their shared commitment to promoting Taiwan's meaningful participation in the international community. The U.S. and Taiwan will continue to leverage the cooperation framework between the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the ICDF to jointly address cross-border challenges.

AIT issued a press release today stating that Director Sandra Oh (Raymond Greene) recently met with Lin Chia-lung and several diplomatic partners for a profound dialogue and exchange. Attendees collectively emphasized the deep and enduring friendship between Taiwan and its partners, and reiterated their shared commitment to promoting Taiwan's meaningful participation in the international community.

AIT explained that to further advance this vision, the U.S. and Taiwan will continue to leverage the cooperation framework between the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF). By combining their respective strengths, they will address crucial cross-border challenges such as disaster preparedness, public health, and supply chain resilience. This cooperation framework will facilitate opportunities for both sides to explore synergistic partnerships that meet global needs, maximizing the synergy and impact of U.S.-Taiwan cooperation.
