(Central News Agency, reporter Su Mu-chun, Taichung, July 2) The Taichung District Prosecutors Office is investigating a case involving a police officer surnamed Wu from the Investigation Section of the Ren-ai Precinct of the Nantou County Police Bureau, who is suspected of leaking secrets. An investigation was launched yesterday, and the officer surnamed Wu was brought in for questioning. After interrogation, the prosecutor's office ordered him to be released on NT$200,000 bail in the early hours of this morning, while the others were released.

The Taiwan Taichung District Prosecutors Office stated today that the office, under the command of the Central Investigation Bureau's Central Region Investigation Group, is investigating cases involving a police officer surnamed Wu of the Nantou County Police Bureau's Ren-ai Precinct for alleged leaking of secrets. On the 1st, searches were conducted, and Wu and a total of 4 other individuals involved were summoned for questioning.

The prosecutor's office stated that after interrogation by the prosecutor, it was determined that there was no necessity for detention, and Wu was ordered to be released on bail pending further investigation in the early hours of this morning with a bail amount of NT$200,000. The others were released.

It is understood that Officer Wu had been assigned to the Investigation Section of the Ren-ai Precinct of the Nantou County Police Bureau for less than half a month.
