The New Taipei City Government stated that this year marks a "grand slam" in training rights for national teams in Little League, Junior League, and Youth League baseball.

The New Taipei City Government's Sports Affairs Bureau announced that the "115th Yushan Cup National Youth Baseball Championship" concluded in June. The New Taipei City youth baseball representative team, organized and trained by Kuei-Pao Commercial High School, brought together outstanding players from Kuei-Pao Commercial High School, Yingko Vocational High School, and Hsiu-Feng Senior High School. They advanced through the competition to win the championship, securing the training rights for Chinese Taipei in the "2026 14th Asian U18 Baseball Championship." They were honored at today's city executive meeting to share the joy of their victory.

Mayor Hou Yu-ih stated that the Yushan Cup is the highest level of youth baseball competition in the country and an important selection platform for the national team in the Asian U18 Baseball Championship. The championship won by the New Taipei representative team demonstrates the complete development achievements of youth baseball in New Taipei.

The Sports Affairs Bureau reported that the head coach of this tournament, Yang Hsiao-cheng, received the Best Coach Award, Huang Shih-yao won the Best Hitter Award, and Pasula Takislinian, of the Bunun indigenous group, was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP), showcasing the team's overall strength.

The Sports Affairs Bureau further explained that New Taipei City has secured national team training rights across all three levels of youth baseball this year. This includes the Little League team organized and trained by Chung-Kang Elementary School winning the Hua Nan Financial Holdings Cup Little League Championship and obtaining training rights for the U12 Asian Little League Championship. The Junior League team organized and trained by Erh-Chung Junior High School completed a three-peat in the Hua Nan Financial Holdings Cup Junior League, securing training rights for the U15 Baseball World Cup. Now, with the youth baseball team organized and trained by Kuei-Pao Commercial High School winning the Yushan Cup championship, they have achieved a "grand slam" across all three levels of youth baseball in the same year.

The city government announced that New Taipei City currently has 3 coaches and 12 players selected for the first stage of the training team for the Asian U18 Baseball Championship, and they will continue to strive for the qualification to represent the country in international competitions. Yang Hsiao-cheng expressed gratitude to the New Taipei City Government for providing comprehensive training resources, allowing players to prepare with peace of mind.
