(Central News Agency, reporter Wu Zhehao, Changhua, July 1) Changhua police recently received a report from a family stating that a junior high school student had gone missing after an argument with his father. Officers went to the residence to look for clues, only to find the student fast asleep in bed. It turned out that after the argument, the student had covered himself with a quilt and slept in bed, leading his family to believe he had run away.

An officer from the Hemei Precinct of the Changhua County Police Bureau stated today that the Hemei Police Station recently received a report of a missing teenager. The informant stated that her younger brother, a junior high school student, had argued with his father over academic issues. After the heated argument, the student rode his bicycle out and disappeared, prompting the informant to report to the duty officer at the police station and request assistance in the search.

Police stated that upon receiving the report, the police station did not dare to be negligent and immediately dispatched officers to the junior high student's residence to investigate and understand the teenager's social circle. To their surprise, as soon as they entered the room, the officers saw a "lump" under the quilt on the bed. Upon opening it, they discovered the junior high student fast asleep.

Officers woke the sleeping student and, after questioning, learned that the student had not left home after the argument but had gone directly to his room, covered his head with a quilt, and fallen asleep. The family, possibly in a moment of panic, did not notice that the student was still in the house, leading to this misunderstanding.

The student's family quickly expressed their gratitude to the officers. The officers reminded the family to pay more attention to the interaction between children and parents, strengthen positive communication within the family, and face the adolescent's growth and adjustment with a positive attitude.
