(CNA Washington, July 1, 2025, Reuters) New financial disclosure documents released today show that U.S. President Trump earned over $1.4 billion (approximately NT$44.6 billion) last year from his family's cryptocurrency business, indicating that most of his current income comes from digital assets that benefit from his own policies.
The 2025 filing submitted to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics shows that Trump received over $500 million from "World Liberty Financial," a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by him and his sons.
Additionally, Trump reported $635 million in earnings from the sale of the $TRUMP memecoin.
Trump also reported over $80 million in income from settlements with several media companies, as well as millions of dollars earned through licensing his name to overseas real estate developers.
These disclosures offer a glimpse into the massive profits reaped by the Trump family's foray into the cryptocurrency space.
Reuters had previously estimated that Trump's family has earned at least $2.3 billion in profits from investors since Trump's return to the White House.
The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment on the filing. (Compiled by: Li Peishan) 1150701
