Taichung Longjing: 5-Vehicle Pile-up Results in 6 Minor Injuries

(Central News Agency, Taichung, June 30) A traffic accident involving two trucks and three passenger cars occurred today at the underpass of an elevated road in Longjing District, Taichung. Six people, three men and three women, sustained minor injuries and were sent to the hospital. The Taichung City Government Fire Bureau responded to the scene and transported the injured for medical treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the police.

The fire bureau received a report at 1:20 PM about a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Xiangshang Road, Section 8, and Zhonghua Road, Section 3, in Longjing. Rescue personnel and vehicles were immediately dispatched.

Firefighters stated that the accident involved two trucks and three passenger cars. All six individuals suffered abrasions and pain, but were conscious and alert. They were transported to the Guang Tian General Hospital Xiangshang Branch for treatment. (Editor: Li Mingzong) 1150630
