Communist Party of China Membership Reaches 101.1286 Million

(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 30) Latest statistics from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee show that as of the end of 2025, the total number of CPC members was 101.1286 million, a net increase of 1.015 million from the end of 2024, an annual increase of about 1%.

According to a release by Xinhua News Agency on June 30, the latest statistics from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee show that as of the end of 2025, the total number of CPC members was 101.1286 million, a net increase of 1.015 million from the end of 2024; there were 5.431 million grassroots party organizations, a net increase of 181,000 from the end of 2024.

The latest statistics indicate that 2.086 million people were admitted as party members throughout the year (referring to those who completed the procedures and officially became party members), of whom 1.072 million were from the front lines of production and work, accounting for 51.4%; 1.143 million had a college education or above, accounting for 54.8%; and 1.753 million were under 35 years old, accounting for 84%.

As of the end of 2025, there were 59.765 million party members with a college education or above, accounting for 59%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points from the end of 2024; there were 31.914 million female party members, accounting for 31.5%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the end of 2024; there were 7.878 million ethnic minority party members, accounting for 7.8%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the end of 2024; workers and farmers constitute the main body of the party membership, accounting for 32.4%.

Nationwide, there are 314,000 grassroots party committees, 333,000 general branches, and 4.783 million branches, an increase of 8,000, 4,000, and 170,000 respectively from the end of 2024.

Among the 483,000 village party organization secretaries, 56.5% have a college education or above, an increase of 8.9 percentage points from the end of 2024.
