(Central News Agency, Reporter Zhao Minya, Taipei, June 29) The Ministry of Digital Affairs' Cybersecurity Administration announced today that it has launched a new podcast program, "What Hackers Don't Want You to Know," hoping to transform complex information security knowledge into practical life skills that everyone can understand, learn, and apply, thereby helping the public establish correct cybersecurity concepts and improve their digital protection capabilities.
The Cybersecurity Administration issued a press release stating that from mobile payments, online shopping, and social media to artificial intelligence (AI) applications, digital technology brings convenience, but also entails various cybersecurity risks and challenges. Therefore, the podcast program "What Hackers Don't Want You to Know" was produced to promote cybersecurity concepts in a relatable way and strengthen public awareness of protection.
The Cybersecurity Administration further explained that the program features relaxed conversations, sharing of real-life case studies, and in-depth yet easy-to-understand explanations from experts. It analyzes common digital issues faced by the public, making cybersecurity not just knowledge for professionals, but an important life skill that every citizen should possess. The program will continue to invite experts from government agencies, industries, and the cybersecurity field to share the latest trends, practical cases, and protection advice.
The Cybersecurity Administration pointed out that the first episode, themed "Risk of Sharing Boarding Passes, Be Careful When Posting! A Deep Dive into Barcode Risks," explores the cybersecurity risks that the public may face when sharing photos of flight tickets, concert tickets, or event tickets. It explains the important information embedded in barcodes and QR codes to prevent misuse by malicious actors, and reminds the public to consider information security while sharing their lives.
The Cybersecurity Administration stated that "What Hackers Don't Want You to Know" will be available on major podcast platforms simultaneously, with a video version also released on the Cybersecurity Administration's YouTube channel. The program aims to debunk various myths and traps in the online world, enhance the public's digital literacy, and collectively safeguard a secure digital future. (Editor: Pan Yijing) 1150629
