Hsinchu and Nantou Mountain Areas Warned of Heavy Rain; Local Heavy Showers Expected North of Yunlin and in Yilan, Hualien

(CNA Taipei, June 29) The Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory, citing the development of active convective clouds prone to short-duration heavy rainfall. Today, Hsinchu County and Nantou County mountain areas are expected to experience local heavy rain or torrential downpours.

There is a chance of local heavy rain in areas north of Yunlin, as well as in the mountain areas of Yilan, Hualien, and south of Chiayi. Please be aware of lightning and strong gusts. Mountain areas should be cautious of landslides, falling rocks, and rising stream levels. Low-lying areas should be wary of flooding. (Editor: Li Heng-shan) 1150629
