Central News Agency (CNA) reported that Taiwanese professional footballer Yuan Yung-cheng attended a public event today to share his reflections on the World Cup. Drawing inspiration from the fighting spirit of Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, Yuan reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing a professional career in Spain's La Liga.
Regarding the World Cup, Yuan expressed his support for Argentina. He particularly praised Lionel Messi’s performance, noting that despite his age, Messi remains at an elite level. Yuan highlighted that Argentina’s national team cohesion is a rare and vital factor contributing to their success.
Looking toward his own career, Yuan cited Vozinha’s perseverance as a source of motivation. He acknowledged that while navigating low points in his career, maintaining an attitude of persistence is crucial for being recognized at the top level. Currently, Yuan has obtained a UEFA coaching license in Spain. He hopes to eventually leverage this qualification to assist in the development of Taiwanese football, noting that he aims to pursue his goals without regrets.
Singer Lou Jun-shuo and Chen Hua also attended the event. Lou, an Argentina fan, noted the challenges of balancing parenthood with watching late-night matches, while Chen Hua shared her enthusiasm for the social atmosphere of football matches.
