According to the Central News Agency (CNA), reports emerged regarding an alleged assault on a passenger aboard a TRA train at Banqiao Station. Railway police stated this morning that an on-site investigation yielded no evidence of a struggle or injury.

The Railway Police Bureau (Taipei Branch, Banqiao Precinct) received a report regarding an alleged physical altercation involving a passenger in the ninth carriage of Tze-Chiang Limited Express train No. 272 and dispatched officers to the scene immediately.

Police reported that upon arrival, they did not find any passengers who had been assaulted or injured. Interviews conducted with other passengers on the train indicated that no one had witnessed such an incident, and no signs of a struggle were discovered in the carriage.

Authorities noted that the train conductor's initial report was based on hearsay from other passengers. Consequently, the police are currently conducting follow-up interviews with the train staff and passengers involved. Furthermore, investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the carriage to clarify the facts. Should any illegal activity be confirmed, the case will be handled in accordance with the law.
