Currently, Typhoon No. 7 is approaching the Nansei Islands and is forecast to near the Kyushu to Kanto regions by the 27th, while Typhoon No. 8 is expected to land on the Pacific coast of Eastern Japan on the same day.
In Kashiwara, Osaka, a light van was found submerged up to its windows near the Kintetsu Osaka Line’s Osaka Kyoiku-dai-mae Station. Local police report no casualties in the area. In Nara, a man in his 50s was hospitalized with a broken leg after falling into a flooded drainage ditch early this morning.
In Higashiosaka, severe road flooding has left numerous vehicles stranded. Local businesses are dealing with significant water damage, including the loss of inventory and equipment. Furthermore, in the Ikuno Ward of Osaka, drainage manhole covers were displaced by surging water, resulting in extensive road surface cracking and ground collapse. Witnesses reported debris and rubble covering sidewalks, describing the situation as an unprecedented disaster.
