Tsing Hua University Unveils AI Expert System: 3 Tools to Aid Decision-Making in Manufacturing, Home Buying, and Stock Investment

(By reporter Kuo Hsuan-wen, Hsinchu City, June 22) Professor Chou Cho-Hui's research team at Tsing Hua University has developed an AI expert system and today unveiled three smart products: 'Yield Relief Clinic,' 'Home Gold Map,' and 'Good Stock Radar.' These tools aim to leverage AI and data analytics to improve industrial efficiency and assist the public in making informed financial decisions.

At today's press conference, Professor Chou explained that students designed these expert systems using AI to enhance analytical and logical reasoning skills. The systems have now been officially launched and are available for public download, marking a successful commercialization of academic research.

Chou stated that the 'Yield Relief Clinic' is primarily designed to help semiconductor process engineers quickly identify causes of yield decline. Covering front-end, mid-end, and back-end manufacturing processes, it serves both experienced engineers in troubleshooting and new engineers as a training tool, shortening the learning curve and boosting industrial competitiveness.

The 'Home Gold Map' targets first-time homebuyers, young professionals, and budget-conscious individuals. By analyzing data, it provides insights into optimal housing areas and asset allocation, helping users identify promising regions amid high inflation.

'Good Stock Radar' uses big data to analyze the financial health and growth potential of listed companies, enabling investors to assess investment targets scientifically, reduce emotional bias, and build long-term investment judgment capabilities.

Student Lo Ming-yu mentioned that by compiling historical housing price data from Taiwan, the system can identify neighborhoods resilient to inflation. Wang Keng-yu added that the system provides critical pre-purchase information such as down payment requirements and recommended loan amounts, reducing homebuying risks.

Students Lin Chi-kuan and Chen Pin-yu noted that based on 20 years of data from Taiwan’s listed and OTC companies, they analyzed the relationship between financial health and stock value growth to serve as a reference for corporate financial evaluation. Li Hsiang-i explained that the AI expert system integrates key yield factors across semiconductor manufacturing stages, enabling users not only to understand yield calculations but also to rapidly diagnose potential causes of yield anomalies.
