On the evening of the 17th, emergency responders in Ershui Township, Changhua County, successfully rescued a young boy trapped inside a parked vehicle. Local residents reported hearing sounds coming from the car and discovered the child crying inside, prompting them to contact the police immediately.
Upon arrival, firefighters used specialized tools to break the vehicle's window and unlock the door. The child, who had been trapped for approximately 20 minutes, was provided with water and assessed by medical personnel. While the boy showed mild signs of dehydration, a subsequent hospital check-up confirmed he sustained no serious injuries.
Preliminary police investigations suggest the boy entered the vehicle to play and accidentally locked himself inside. The Changhua County Social Affairs Department has intervened to assess the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the parents' level of supervision to determine if any legal negligence occurred. Further actions will be taken in accordance with relevant regulations based on the final findings.
