The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today that in order to enhance the rapid response and high combat readiness capabilities of the national armed forces, an 'Immediate Combat Readiness Drill' lasting five days and four nights will be conducted from tomorrow until the 26th. The training aims to familiarize units at all levels with combat practices and battlefield environments during the preparation stage, while strengthening rapid transitions from peacetime to wartime and prioritizing deployment actions.

In a press release issued this afternoon, the MND noted that this drill is part of the annual planned joint operations training. It focuses on exercising joint operational plans by utilizing situational induction, employing a 'real-force, real-location, real-time, real-equipment, and practical-execution' approach. The drill emphasizes the refinement of command and control, logistics sustainability, and battlefield management to improve overall defensive efficacy.

Military sources explained to the Central News Agency that unlike the Han Kuang Exercises, which cover a full-scale operational process, the Immediate Combat Readiness Drill focuses on the initial steps taken by the military when the People's Liberation Army (PLA) shows signs of movement before a full-scale launch. This scheduled iteration emphasizes the performance of standing forces and will not involve mobilization of reserves.
