A fatal industrial accident occurred in Sanzhi District, New Taipei City, today. A worker performing exterior wall maintenance, specifically sealing air conditioning vents, fell from a suspended scaffolding unit at a five-story height. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the victim in cardiac arrest (OHCA). Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead.

According to the Tamsui Precinct of the New Taipei City Police Department, the incident on Lequan Street was reported at 3:51 PM. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim, surnamed Li, was working on the exterior wall when he fell. Upon arrival, officers found Li in critical condition. He was transported to the Tamsui Mackay Memorial Hospital, where medical personnel were unable to resuscitate him; he was pronounced dead at 4:40 PM. Authorities are currently investigating the specific cause of the fall and reviewing site safety protocols.
