The Third Highway Police Brigade reported that between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, eight accidents took place between the 199km and 203km markers. These included five two-vehicle collisions and three three-vehicle collisions. Breathalyzer tests for all drivers involved returned zero. The exact causes of the accidents are currently under investigation.
Authorities advise travelers to utilize the '1968 Highway' app or the Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau's real-time traffic website before departure. During travel, motorists should monitor electronic road signs and radio updates to adjust routes and avoid congestion.
