A total of 40 colleges and 193 departments are participating in the 2026 academic year national 5-year junior college joint non-exam admission, offering 788 slots (including 7 categories of special status students). Registration is accepted from June 18 to 25, allowing applicants to choose one school in the Northern, Central, and Southern zones respectively.

The Joint Commission of Technological and Vocational College Admission Committees stated that registration can be completed via collective junior high school mailing, individual online registration, or individual mailing. The admission process uses an on-site registration and department selection system. Scoring criteria include multiple learning performance, skills excellence, disadvantaged status, balanced learning, average grades in comprehensive activities and technology across five semesters, vocational counseling, and the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students.

Ren Yi-jun, director of the commission, emphasized that junior colleges provide university-level faculty and an ideal environment for professional skill development. Students enjoy tuition-free status for the first three years, and those with employment intent can participate in the Ministry of Education's specialized program to achieve full tuition waivers for the remaining two years.
