June Taiwan Stock Index Futures Down 96 Points

(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 17) Taipei's stock market closed up 68.2 points today at 45,877.39. The June Taiwan stock index futures (Taiex Futures) settled at 45,668, down 96 points, showing a backwardation of 209.39 points compared to the spot market.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the two nearest-month index futures contracts: June futures at 45,764 points and July futures at 45,839 points.

The Taipei stock market closed up 68.2 points at 45,877.39, with a total trading value of NT$1.102051 trillion.

The June Taiwan stock index futures closed at 45,668 points, down 96 points, with 28,327 contracts traded. The July futures closed at 46,031 points, up 192 points, with 36,795 contracts traded. Actual closing prices are subject to official announcements by the Futures Exchange. 1150617
