Taiwanese female boxer Lin Yu-ting defeated England's top athlete Amy Broadhurst 5-0 in the first round of the women's 60kg division at the WB Cup China, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals. Coach Tseng Tzu-chiang commented that she is gradually regaining her former competitive standard.

Known as the 'Daughter of Taiwan,' Lin Yu-ting won the gold medal in women's boxing at the Paris Olympics. However, due to the World Boxing Federation's newly introduced, ambiguous gender testing regulations, she faced a 19-month competition 'hiatus' without any matches. Fortunately, with coordination from the Chinese Taipei Boxing Association, Lin was able to participate in the Asian Championships in April and return to the international stage, where she successfully claimed a bronze medal.

At the WB Cup China, Lin faced England's top boxer Amy Broadhurst in the first round of the women's 60kg division. Although Lin started cautiously in the first round, she quickly took the initiative using her reach advantage, landing multiple effective punches. In the third round, her opponent was even ruled to receive a standing eight-count. Ultimately, Lin won unanimously by all judges with a 5-0 decision, clearing the first hurdle.

Coach Tseng Tzu-chiang, in an interview with Central News Agency, noted that when Lin returned to the international stage at the Asian Championships, she was still somewhat unfamiliar with the overall adjustment process. Therefore, she intensified her training upon returning home and is now gradually regaining her previous form. He particularly emphasized that moving up in weight class has allowed her to focus more on technical execution, stating, 'She's probably recovered over 70% of her former level.'

In the quarterfinals, Lin will face Brazil's Rebeca Santos, a gold medalist at the World Championships. Tseng expressed confidence in his protégé's next match, noting that after successfully adapting to the pressure of a major stage and controlling the fight's rhythm in this bout, Lin has a real chance of victory if she leverages her strength in rhythm variation.
