(Taipei, June 17, 2023) Lin An-Ko, a Taiwanese player for the Saitama Seibu Lions in Japanese professional baseball, hit two home runs and contributed 6 RBIs in a minor league game today, continuing his hot streak with 5 extra-base hits in his last 6 games. However, his team lost to the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters 7-9.

Lin An-Ko started as the 7th batter and left fielder today. In the top of the 2nd inning with runners on first and second, he hit a right-field home run off left-handed pitcher Kato Takayuki, tying the game with a 3-run homer. Kato has a 6-1 record with a 2.92 ERA in 10 games for the first team this year.

In the top of the 6th inning with runners on second and third and the team trailing 3-9, Lin An-Ko hit another right-field home run off right-handed pitcher Ohkawa Jie, cutting the deficit to 3 runs with another 3-run homer. However, the Seibu team added only 1 run in the top of the 7th inning and failed to turn the game around.

Lin An-Ko also drew a walk in the 4th inning and flew out to the center fielder in the 8th inning. In this game, he went 3-for-3 with 2 hits and 6 RBIs. His minor league batting average is now .244.
