This morning, the section of the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) line between Miaoli and Zhunan was affected by construction equipment, resulting in temporary single-track bidirectional operations and causing delays to some train services. TRA stated that a construction excavator accidentally overturned during maintenance work conducted by its engineering unit. Repair crews and equipment have been dispatched to the site. According to the TRA's official website, normal operations are expected to resume by 9 a.m.

TRA issued a statement indicating that at 4:23 a.m. today, they received a report that during scheduled maintenance work, one excavator overturned on the westbound main track between Miaoli and Zhunan (at K129+700). As a result, the Miaoli-Zhunan section is currently operating on a single track (eastbound line) for bidirectional train movements.

TRA stated that repair equipment and personnel have been dispatched to the site to address the incident. The administration expressed deep apologies for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
