Chinese Culture University Develops AI Career Copilot, Secures 3rd Place in Microsoft Hackathon

According to a report by Central News Agency journalist Hsu Chih-wei in Taipei on the 17th, a team from Chinese Culture University has developed an 'AI Career Copilot' system that offers students personalized career advice, learning plans, and employment information, effectively serving as a 24/7 online AI career advisor. The project secured third place in Microsoft's Higher Education Agentic AI Copilot Hackathon.

In a press release issued today, Chinese Culture University stated that the award-winning project is built on a Multi-Agent architecture, integrating student needs, corporate recruitment data, and institutional resources to create an intelligent career ecosystem that fosters collaboration among students, enterprises, and the university. This initiative aims to implement AI practically within campus environments and establish a highly feasible smart service model.

Professor Lee Yi-chun from the Department of Information Communication, who led the project, emphasized that unlike many AI projects still in the proof-of-concept phase, the 'AI Career Copilot' has already been integrated into campus services. Students can receive personalized career recommendations, learning pathways, and job market insights through the system—akin to having an AI career advisor available around the clock—helping them clarify future directions and improve career decision-making efficiency. The system is currently being used in campus job fairs and career counseling services.

The AI Agent development team highlighted that the core mission behind advancing AI goes beyond technical development—it aims to achieve 'AI capability equity.' Moving forward, they plan to continuously optimize the campus career AI Agent system, deepen the integration of AI tools into learning environments, and create an inclusive educational space where students from all academic backgrounds can effectively leverage AI.
