(Central News Agency reporter Tsai Meng-yu, Kaohsiung, June 17) To support local farmers and rural development, Kaohsiung City's Agriculture Bureau will begin rolling out events such as the Kaohsiung Jinhuang Mango Festival and the Shan Cha Lifestyle Festival starting from the end of June. These events, along with a series of food and agriculture education experiences, aim to invite the public to visit production sites and experience the charm of Kaohsiung's rural communities.

The Kaohsiung City Agriculture Bureau announced today in a press release that the Kaohsiung Jinhuang Mango Festival will take place from June 27 to 28 at the Aozihdi Forest Park Shennong Market. In addition to showcasing high-quality agricultural products, the event will feature creative mango cooking demonstrations and interactive experiences, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the sweet flavor of Jinhuang mangoes.

Following this, the Kaohsiung Shan Cha Lifestyle Festival will be held from July 18 to 19 at Xinfah Elementary School in Liugui District. Through tea-tasting sessions, mountain tea evaluations, and local craft workshops, the festival will guide visitors into the mountain towns to savor the layered flavors of Kaohsiung's mountain tea and its local cultural stories.

In addition to these two major events, the Agriculture Bureau has gathered local farmers to offer a diverse range of food and agriculture education experiences. These include learning about different mango varieties, hand-picking fruits, creating creative dishes, organic guava leaf pounding dyeing DIY, fruit-picking experiences, and half-day papaya-themed agricultural education tours.

Moreover, Gangfa Honey, Liugui Yin Family Organic Farm, and Nongchunzhen Ecological Education Farm regularly host food and agriculture education activities, providing the public with more diverse agri-tourism options. A series of events ensures that whether for family outings, friend gatherings, or multi-generational trips, everyone can find their own unique summer rural experience in Kaohsiung.

The Agriculture Bureau stated that through educational activities combining knowledge and fun, more people will come to understand Kaohsiung's rich and diverse agricultural characteristics and support local farmers and rural development. The public is encouraged to visit Kaohsiung's production areas this summer, taste seasonal fresh fruits, and experience the simple human warmth and scenery. (Edited by Chang Ya-ching) 1150617
