Chung-Chang-Tou Direct Hire Center Officially Launches, Integrating Interpretation, Document Review, and Application Support Services

To promote the use of direct hiring services by employers, the Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency (WDA) announced the official launch of the Chung-Chang-Tou Direct Hire Joint Service Center. The center integrates multilingual professional interpretation, document review, application guidance, and follow-up tracking to provide more convenient support.

In addition to existing service points in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the new center in central Taiwan enables local residents and businesses to access direct hiring assistance nearby.

The direct hiring system allows employers to recruit foreign workers directly, reducing reliance on intermediaries and cutting associated service fees. It also promotes transparency and streamlines administrative procedures, easing the burden on both employers and employees.

The center offers interpretation services in Chinese, English, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. It also assigns dedicated 'Application Secretaries' who provide end-to-end support for each case. These specialists assist employers with identity verification, form completion, document preparation, system operations, and consultation on the direct hiring process. Additionally, they proactively remind applicants of key deadlines via phone calls, SMS, or email, minimizing administrative oversights.

If foreign workers face language barriers during the application process, real-time translation support is available to enhance efficiency.

Located on the 2nd floor at No. 838, Section 2, Zhongshan Road, Changhua City—above the Changhua Employment Center—the center began trial operations on January 30. By the end of May, it had served over 700 individuals, approximately 80% of whom were employers seeking consultation, indicating growing demand for the direct hiring system and related services.

Nearly 80% of inquiries concerned the hiring of foreign domestic caregivers, reflecting the rising need for family-based care amid an aging society.

Following its official launch, the Chung-Chang-Tou center will continue to integrate local service resources, refine service workflows, and strengthen digital services to assist more employers and foreign workers in utilizing the direct hiring system.
