Key news on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to a Central News Agency report from Los Angeles, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced today that over one million fans have attended matches at the current World Cup. This year's tournament is jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

As reported by AFP, Infantino posted on Instagram: 'Wow! One million fans have attended! A huge thank you to all our passionate supporters who continue to fill the stadiums. You are bringing energy to the most inclusive World Cup ever.'

The tournament kicked off on June 11 and is scheduled to feature 104 matches, with 16 already completed. Prior to the event, ticket prices faced strong criticism, and fans from some countries were unable to attend due to the United States denying visas. (Compiled by: Zhang Zhengqian) 1150617
