According to a report by Central News Agency, the Seoul International Book Fair will open on June 24 at the COEX Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea. Lai Hong's representative work 'Murder the Husband,' originally published in Korean in 1991, will be reissued in a new edition by Korean publisher Marco Polo. Lai Hong will attend the book fair to meet readers in person.

As announced in a press release by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), the reissue of 'Murder the Husband' will coincide with Lai Hong's participation in the fair, where she will interact directly with Korean readers.

TAICCA Chairperson Wang Shih-szu highlighted that 'Traveling in Taiwan' recently won the International Booker Prize in the UK, demonstrating that Taiwan's robust publishing capacity is increasingly gaining international recognition and attention.

Wang emphasized that Taiwan's storytelling power transcends borders and media. As one of TAICCA's key target markets, Korea has become a focal point for comprehensive collaboration across film and television, publishing, theater, and music, deepening bilateral cultural exchange and industry cooperation.

Wang added, 'Going forward, we will continue to center on content to promote the multilingual adaptation and long-term global dissemination of Taiwan's stories. This year, we are also integrating character branding into the exhibition to strengthen cross-sector synergies and amplification effects.'

Following Taiwan's role as the Guest of Honor at last year's Seoul Book Fair, this year's Taiwan Pavilion brings together 55 publishers and 160 publications, featuring a 'Books from Taiwan' themed zone and a brand exhibition area.

Participating authors include Lai Ma, a picture book creator marking 30 years in the field; Hu Mu-ching, winner of the Taipei International Book Exhibition Award for 'A Sketch of a Female Murderer'; and four authors invited through a collaboration between TAICCA and the National Museum of Taiwan Literature: Lai Hong, Chen Hui, Liglalul Ading, and Ma Yi-hang.

In addition to TAICCA's Taiwan Pavilion, the Taipei Book Fair Foundation will operate a thematic pavilion, while the Independent Publishers Alliance will participate in the International Independent Publishing Zone. (Edited by Li Hsi-chang) 1150616
