According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred in the Haixi Tibetan and Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province at 5:06 PM today, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

Based on reports from Xinhua News Agency and the China Earthquake Administration, as of 6:40 PM, the earthquake has caused one death and four injuries. All personnel working at coal mines near the epicenter have been evacuated. Further assessments on casualties and property damage are ongoing.

The Office of the State Council's Earthquake Relief Command and the Ministry of Emergency Management have activated a Level-4 national emergency response for earthquake disasters and dispatched a working group to the affected area to guide relief operations.

According to Dahe Daily, a magnitude 3.3 earthquake also occurred in the same Haixi Prefecture on the afternoon of the 10th, marking two seismic events in the region within seven days. (Editor: Chen Kaiyu)
