Golden Melody Awards 37 Reveals Presenters, Power Station Jokes About Wanting to Win, Not Present

(Taipei, June 16, CNA reporter Wang Hsin-yu) The 37th Golden Melody Awards ceremony revealed its list of presenters today, including singers Karen Mok, Hsiao Huang-chi, Teresa Teng, WeiBird, and the musical duo Power Station. Congratulating the nominees, Power Station joked that they actually attend the Golden Melody Awards hoping to win an award rather than present one.

Performing guests include entertainers Lulu (Huang Lu-tzu-lin), Yellow (Huang Hsuan), Wang Hung-en, Lee Ju-hsin, Lü Shih-hsuan, Yao Hsiao-min, Hung Ching-yao, WeiBird, Sangpuy, Ma Nien-hsien, Karen Mok, Hsu Hsiao-shun, Hsu Che-pai, Power Station, Julie Peng, Huang Chi-pin, Huang Tzu-hsuan, Chung Hsing-min, Hsiao Huang-chi, Wei Ru-hsuan, and Teresa Teng.

Hsu Hsiao-shun, who will also present an award, expressed his honor, stating, "Everyone has a song that belongs to them in their heart," which he described as the most important soulful outlet in life's journey.

WeiBird, who is participating as a nominee, ceremony host, and presenter, said he feels much more relaxed this time, attending the Golden Melody Awards more as a musician to celebrate with friends in the music industry and enjoy a significant night for Mandarin music.

Lulu expressed strong confidence in this year's host A-Lin (Huang Li-ling), calling her charm "explosive," and saying that once she steps on stage, everyone will feel healed and joyful. Lee Ju-hsin said, "Within music, the heart is free; beyond music, life is infinite."
