The Minxiong Business District Development Association hosted the 'Minxiong Flavor Food Exploration—Xun Tian Shui' event. Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Zhangliang was invited today to serve as the 'Damao Street Chief,' sampling creative cuisine at Ichiraku Sake House, a wooden building from the Japanese colonial era, in support of local business development.

Association Chairman Hsu Sheng-chang, speaking to the media, said the 'Xun Tian Shui' event was inspired by local Minxiong flavors, using ingredients such as malao, miancha, kumquats, Heilong soy sauce, milk peanuts, milk pineapple, herbal hibiscus, dried ginger, and aged tangerine peel to develop innovative dishes.

Hsu said the new dishes include soy sauce-flavored Italian ice cream, milk peanut-based specialty coffee, miancha pasta, and malao salad sandwiches. The public is invited to visit the Minxiong business district to taste these new creations before July 19.

Hsu added that during a recent meeting, the association decided to invite an internet celebrity to promote the 'Xun Tian Shui' event. To save costs while reaching a wide audience, members unanimously agreed that Weng Zhangliang would offer the greatest impact. He expressed gratitude to relevant county government units for assisting in making Weng’s participation possible.

Magistrate Weng listened attentively to each shop’s culinary concepts and was impressed by the clever integration of traditional flavors with innovative elements.

Weng stated that Minxiong has gathered many outstanding young talents whose endless creativity, combined with innovative thinking and nostalgic elements, has shaped Minxiong’s unique food culture. (Edited by Li Ming-tsung) 1150616
