The S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices declined under pressure from tech stock sell-offs, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose for the second consecutive day, setting a new historical high. SpaceX also surged to become the 5th most valuable company in the U.S. by market capitalization.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 328.64 points, or 0.64%, closing at 51,999.67 points.

The S&P 500 index dropped 42.94 points, or 0.57%, ending at 7,511.35 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 307.60 points, or 1.15%, closing at 26,376.34 points.
