In the video, Chen Chien-jen and AIT Director Keith Knapp and others participated in the 'Nine-square baseball challenge,' symbolizing the tacit cooperation between Taiwan and the U.S.

The creative 'USA250 Strong Bat Out: Kaohsiung Home Show' social media video, jointly produced by the Kaohsiung City Government and AIT, features Keith Knapp, Chen Chien-jen, and AIT Kaohsiung Branch Director Zhang Zilin taking turns pitching in a 3-minute 'Nine-square baseball challenge.'

The 'Nine-square baseball challenge' displays important milestones in the development of the U.S. and Kaohsiung, such as the '1776 U.S. Declaration of Independence,' '1979 AIT Establishment,' '2009 Kaohsiung World Games,' '2024 Kaohsiung Light Rail Completion,' and '2025 TSMC Kaohsiung Plant 2nm Chip Mass Production.'

The video also includes many humorous segments, including when Keith Knapp is preparing to pitch, Mayor Chen Chien-jen, acting as the catcher, makes a 'heart finger' sign behind the glove. The AIT Kaohsiung Branch mascot 'Amy Cow' and the CSBC mascot 'TAKAO' also appeared to cheer and assist with passing the ball.

Chen Chien-jen stated through a press release that baseball requires teamwork the most. He was very happy to be able to compete with Keith Knapp and Zhang Zilin on the same stage. At this important moment of celebrating America's 250th anniversary, Kaohsiung has always been America's most solid partner in democracy and technology.
