(Hsinchu City, June 16, reporter Kuo Hsuan-wen) Hsinchu City Government held a signing ceremony today for the Hsinchu-Hsinchu County-Miaoli Vocational Education Alliance Memorandum of Understanding. Mayor Kao Hung-an attended and announced the formal partnership with Minghsin University of Science and Technology and three other institutions, aiming to integrate regional educational resources and jointly advance vocational education and talent cultivation.

Mayor Kao stated in her speech that the MOU establishes formal cooperation with Minghsin University of Science and Technology, Min-Sheng University of Science and Technology, Yuanpei University of Medical Technology, and Yu Da University of Science and Technology. Moving forward, cross-county and cross-institutional educational resources will be integrated, linking universities’ cutting-edge technologies and practical teaching capabilities.

She emphasized that the city government will provide support in funding, educational resource integration, and talent development to strengthen collaboration between universities, high schools, and junior high schools. Through industry-government-academia collaboration, the alliance will promote vocational education development in the Hsinchu-Hsinchu County-Miaoli region and cultivate talent with international competitiveness.

Director Lin Li-sheng of the Education Bureau told the Central News Agency that the alliance will establish a long-term, concrete cooperation mechanism. It will promote cross-county sharing of equipment resources, faculty exchanges, and internship site collaborations among the four universities. Additionally, research outcomes and industry practical experience accumulated by universities will be transformed into curricula and learning activities suitable for junior and senior high school students.

He added that through camps, hands-on courses, and cross-school exchanges, students will be exposed to emerging fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, smart robotics, and healthcare technology, broadening their learning horizons and enhancing future competitiveness.
