U.S.-Iran War Key News

(Taipei, June 16 — Agence France-Presse, Geneva) The Swiss Foreign Ministry has confirmed to AFP that the U.S.-Iran agreement aimed at ending the Middle East war will be signed on the 19th at the Burgenstock Resort, located in the mountainous region of Switzerland.

According to AFP, the venue is situated near Lucerne in central Switzerland. Its remote location makes access difficult, enhancing security arrangements.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry stated that the location was "proposed jointly by mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, as well as the United States and Iran."

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi announced today that Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, will represent Tehran, while U.S. Vice President JD Vance will represent Washington.

Takht-Ravanchi also stated that the two-month naval blockade imposed by the U.S. Navy on Iranian ports has now been lifted. (Translation: Yang Zhao-Yan) 1150616
