(Taipei Times Correspondent Cheng Ching-Yu, Warsaw, June 16) The Polish Taiwanese Business Association held its 31st Annual General Meeting and Dragon Boat Festival Luncheon, during which current chairman Hsu Szu-Wei was re-elected. New President of the Federation of Taiwanese Business Associations in Europe (ETCC), Juan Shao-Di, also announced that the 33rd ETCC Annual Conference will be held in Warsaw for the first time in 2027.

According to information provided by the Polish Taiwanese Business Association, the 31st Annual General Meeting and Dragon Boat Festival Networking Luncheon was held on the 13th near Poznan, Poland, with active participation from association members, representatives from the Taipei Representative Office in Poland, and European Taiwanese business leaders.

Under the witness of Lu Pei-Chuan, Head of the Economic Division at the Taipei Representative Office in Poland, and honorary association chairs Juan Shao-Di, Lin Tzu-Yang, and Liu Yi-Hsuan, the general meeting unanimously approved Hsu Szu-Wei’s re-election as chairman.

Hsu stated that the association will continue to serve as a vital platform and support system for members operating in Poland, committed to promoting business exchanges between Taiwan and Poland and serving local Taiwanese entrepreneurs and enterprises.

He emphasized that the association will strengthen resource integration among members and actively expand engagement with local Polish business communities to help Taiwanese companies create more cooperation opportunities in Europe.

Juan Shao-Di, who assumed the presidency of the ETCC during its annual meeting in London this past May, also delivered remarks, stating that Taiwanese businesses are an important business card representing Taiwan globally and a crucial bridge connecting international markets. She stressed, "The more steadily Taiwanese businesses advance, the further Taiwan will go."

Regarding the future outlook for the ETCC, Juan announced that the 33rd ETCC Annual Conference will be held in Warsaw from May 14 to 16, 2027, hosted by the Polish Taiwanese Business Association.

She stated that representatives from Taiwanese business organizations across Europe and global Taiwanese chambers of commerce will gather in Warsaw, using the world as a stage, Europe as a bridge, and Poland as a hub to jointly expand markets and enhance international visibility and business opportunities for Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises.
