The Economic Development Bureau of Taoyuan City Government announced today that in coordination with engineering works by the Taiwan Water Corporation, water supply in five districts—Taoyuan, Luzhu, Guishan, Bade, and Dayuan—will be suspended for up to 21 hours starting at 8:00 a.m. on June 29. Approximately 189,000 households will face complete water shutoffs, while around 40,000 will experience reduced water pressure.
The bureau stated that the current project primarily involves the 'Inspection of High- and Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment at the Danan Water Treatment Plant,' carried out in conjunction with the 'Improvement Project for the Pipeline Crossing Box Culvert on Wenhua 1st Road in Linkou District' by the New Taipei City Government Water Resources Bureau and Linkou District Office. Additionally, due to the installation of two new 600HP vertical-axis electric pumps at the Danan Plant, the 'Phase III Guishan System Pipeline Connection Project at Danan Plant' is also underway.
