Taiwan Mobile today announced a strategic partnership with Visa to launch Taiwan’s first AI agent commerce experience at myfone online store. Open Possible co-branded credit cardholders will now be able to complete the entire transaction process—including product selection, user authorization, and payment—through AI agents.

AI is evolving beyond content generation to assist in decision-making and transaction completion, accelerating the global shift toward Agentic Commerce.

Through this collaboration, Taiwan Mobile will implement Visa’s Visa Intelligent Commerce solution and Trusted Agent Protocol (TAP) security framework to verify the full transaction flow—from product selection to payment authorization—performed by AI agents. This initiative marks a significant step toward secure, autonomous AI-driven commerce.

According to Visa data, the global Agentic Commerce market is projected to reach $1.7 trillion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 67%.

Lin Chih-Chen, CEO of Taiwan Mobile, stated, "The transition of Agentic Commerce from concept to real-world application depends not only on technology but also on deep integration of payment trust, financial services, and consumer ecosystems. With 17 million users, Taiwan Mobile covers diverse scenarios through telecom services, momo e-commerce, and new technology ventures. We’ve already applied AI in network operations, customer service, cybersecurity, and digital services, establishing a strategic foundation for AI agent commerce. This collaboration with Visa marks a key milestone in our AI strategy."

Stephen Karpin, President of Visa Asia Pacific, added, "AI is rapidly transforming global commerce and payment ecosystems. Agentic Commerce will be a pivotal shift in digital business. Visa began adopting AI 30 years ago and has invested over $12 billion in payment infrastructure over the past five years. Partnering with Taiwan Mobile to launch AI agent commerce in telecom services will set a milestone for Taiwan’s digital payments, AI applications, and future business ecosystems."

The myfone online store will serve as the first experiential platform, opening the full AI agent transaction process to Open Possible cardholders.
