According to Central News Agency, Taipei Chang Gung Hospital experienced a complete power outage at 10:46 a.m. on June 16 due to a sudden accident in the Taiwan Power Company's (Taipower) electrical system.
The hospital immediately activated emergency power sources and its internal emergency response mechanism, switching to manual operations. The entire process was reported to have proceeded in an orderly manner.
For patients whose examinations were interrupted or who could not wait due to the outage, the hospital has arranged rescheduling to ensure continuity of care and protect patients' rights to medical access.
Following emergency repairs by Taipower, full power and computer operations were restored by 11:29 a.m. All medical services have since resumed normal operations.
The hospital expressed gratitude to patients and families for their understanding and cooperation on-site, as well as to all medical staff for their prompt response during the incident.
