(Taipei, June 15, 2024, by reporter Tseng Jen-kai) This week marks a peak in dividend distributions for Taiwan stock ETFs, with a total of 21 funds going ex-dividend, including popular products such as Grand Cathay Taiwan High Dividend Select (00919), Uni-President Taiwan Equity Growth (00981A), and Fubon Flagship 50 (009802). The total number of beneficiaries reaches 3.51 million.

According to statistics from asset management firms, 21 Taiwan stock ETFs will distribute dividends between June 15 and 19. The peak occurs on June 16, when 14 ETFs go ex-dividend simultaneously. The last day to purchase shares and qualify for the dividend is June 15.

Industry representatives note that financial markets have recently experienced significant volatility due to geopolitical risks in the Middle East, making stable dividend-paying ETFs increasingly attractive to conservative investors.

Among the 21 Taiwan stock ETFs distributing dividends this week, seven offer an annualized yield exceeding 10% based on last Friday’s closing prices. Leading the list is CTBC Green Energy and EV (00896) with a 17.6% yield, followed by Mega International High Dividend 30 (00918) at 16.3%. This is followed by FT Taiwan Sustainable High Dividend (00961) at 14% and 00919 at 13.2%. Additionally, CTBC Growth High Dividend (00934), Principal First Financial Taiwan Equity Advantage (00994A), and Fuhua Taiwan Technology Dividend (00929) all exceed 10%.

In terms of beneficiary numbers, the 21 ETFs collectively serve approximately 3.51 million investors. The 00919 ETF leads with 1.314 million beneficiaries, followed by 00981A with about 990,245, and 00929 with 409,000 in third place. (Editor: Yang Lan-hsuan) 1150615
