(Taipei, April 15, CNA reporter Chung Jung-feng) Foxconn announced this afternoon a strategic partnership with French company Schneider Electric (Schneider Electric) to jointly drive the development and large-scale application of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) data centers.
In a press release, Foxconn stated that it will co-develop a reference architecture for next-generation AI data centers with Schneider Electric. Both parties will also explore innovative solutions such as closed-loop energy optimization, modular power and cooling systems, and standardized design frameworks, aiming to create a replicable and high-performance blueprint for AI factories, thereby promoting the standardization and scalability of global AI infrastructure.
Foxconn said that both companies are jointly laying the foundation for a new generation of AI infrastructure with scalable design and high energy efficiency, responding to the rapidly growing demands of the AI era.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu stated that by combining Foxconn's expertise in AI systems and global manufacturing capabilities with Schneider Electric's specialization in power and energy, the two companies will deliver efficient and scalable AI deployments for customers.
Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum said that AI demand continues to accelerate, and as computing scales expand, the underlying energy systems have become a key driver. For AI to develop reliably, all systems must operate seamlessly together, and smart energy is critical in this process.
Blum noted that Schneider and Foxconn will work together to help industrial customers build infrastructure with greater speed, resilience, and efficiency as they advance into the age of artificial intelligence. (Edited by Chang Liang-chih) 1150615
