Rainfall in the mountainous areas of Kaohsiung has continued to intensify today. Considering that the main access roads to Taoyuan District have been blocked by landslides and debris, the city government has decided to suspend all work and classes in Taoyuan District from this afternoon onward to protect the lives and property of residents and commuters.
The Taoyuan District Office warns that there remains a risk of falling rocks, landslides, and debris flows along mountain roads.
