(Central News Agency reporter Wu Jui-chi, Taoyuan, June 15) — Taoyuan Metro's summer parent-child event, the 'Junior Tio-Tio Station Master Experience Camp,' will take place on July 21. Two sessions — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — are scheduled, each limited to 20 participants. Children aged 4 to 8 are invited to become one-day station masters, gaining immersive insights into station operations and traffic safety awareness.
Taoyuan Mass Rapid Transit Corporation announced today that the 'Junior Tio-Tio Station Master Experience Camp' was first launched last year and received enthusiastic responses from families. The event outfits children in exclusive station master uniforms and backpacks, guiding them through hands-on experiences in ticketing services, passenger guidance, and station inspections. Interactive game-based challenges help children understand daily metro operations and proper riding etiquette.
Upon completing all tasks, participants will receive a 'Metro Expert Certificate,' along with a commemorative station master backpack, a one-day Taoyuan Metro pass, and limited-edition souvenirs.
Registration will be open online from noon on July 22 to noon on July 24, followed by a lottery draw. The participation fee is NT$600. Children born between July 2018 and July 2022 are eligible, with each child allowed to register for only one session. Each session will select 20 primary participants and 5 alternates. The results will be announced on Taoyuan Metro's official website around early July. Selected participants must pay within 24 hours of notification; failure to do so will result in forfeiture, and alternates will be called in order. (Editor: Li Ming-tsung) 1150615
