According to Central News Agency reporter Li Chien-chung in Taipei, the Sports Administration announced today that it has received an oral resignation from Lin Hung-Tao, who assumed the role of Chairman of the National Sports Training Center in March. The administration respects his decision. With the Asian Games in Nagoya approaching in September, the Sports Administration will continue to ensure stable operations, focusing on athlete training and logistical support.
After stepping down as President of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, Lin Hung-Tao took over as Chairman of the National Sports Training Center, appointing Chao Shih-chiang as Executive Director, and Lin Hua-wei and Chuang Chia-chia as Deputy Executive Directors.
In a statement, the Sports Administration expressed gratitude for Lin Hung-Tao’s contributions to the Center and sports affairs during his tenure.
It is understood that the Center had already scheduled a board meeting for the 23rd.
Chao Shih-chiang told the Central News Agency reporter, "I just heard about it today," adding that he has not yet confirmed the resignation with Lin Hung-Tao by phone, but will respect the decision made by Lin and the board. (Edited by Li Ming-tsung)
