Central News Agency Report
(Taipei, New Taipei City, May 15, Central News Agency by reporter Wang Hung-kuo) The campaign office of Kuomintang New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Sichuan announced today that New Taipei City Councilor Chiang Yi-chen will serve as Director of the Campaign Office, while Chen Hsin-i, Wu Liang-hsien, and Kuo Yin-lan have been appointed as campaign spokespersons.
The Li Sichuan campaign released a press statement indicating that Chiang Yi-chen's recent decision not to seek re-election as councilor does not signify her withdrawal from public service, but rather a shift toward contributing in a different capacity. After active recruitment by Li Sichuan, she has officially accepted the role of Campaign Office Director.
The campaign highlighted that Chiang Yi-chen graduated from the Department of Philosophy at National Taiwan University, holding a master's degree in philosophy from NTU, a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University in the United States, and a Master of Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She possesses interdisciplinary expertise in humanities, public affairs, and economic industries.
The campaign noted that Chiang has previously served as Presidential Office Advisor, Private Secretary to the New Taipei City Mayor, and Deputy Spokesperson for the New Taipei City Government. Elected to the New Taipei City Council in 2018 and re-elected since, she has accumulated extensive experience from local to central governance, demonstrating outstanding performance both in administrative roles and as an elected representative, earning widespread recognition.
The campaign also announced today the appointment of Chen Hsin-i, Wu Liang-hsien, and Kuo Yin-lan as spokespersons.
The Li Sichuan campaign emphasized that appointing Chiang Yi-chen, a young-generation leader, as head of the campaign team is a rare and innovative move in mayoral elections. Most team members belong to the '7th' and '8th' grades (born in the 1980s–1990s), symbolizing Li Sichuan's recognition and emphasis on youth engagement.
Wu Liang-hsien graduated from the Chinese Literature Department at National Chengchi University, formerly a high school teacher, journalist, and held confidential positions in the New Taipei City Government's News and Urban Development Bureaus. He also served as spokesperson for Hou Yu-ih's mayoral campaign and Director of Legislator Huang Chien-pin's congressional office.
Chen Hsin-i graduated from the Department of Journalism at Fu Jen Catholic University, working as a television reporter and news anchor covering New Taipei City affairs before transitioning to the private sector, where she served as PR director and CEO special assistant for a publicly listed group.
Kuo Yin-lan graduated from the Department of Law at Shih Hsin University, with experience at the New Taipei City Government Education Bureau, Legislative Yuan offices, as Deputy Spokesperson for Taipei City Government, Chief Researcher in the Taipei City Deputy Mayor's Office, and spokesperson for the 2025 Taipei-New Taipei World Masters Games. She has deep roots in the Taipei-New Taipei region, with diverse experience in public affairs and policy promotion. (Editor: Lin Shu-hui) 1150615
