(Central News Agency, Washington, June 15 —综合 foreign media reports) Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced today his plan to hold a large rally in Washington, D.C. on July 4, Independence Day, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. A concert event is also scheduled for June 24.

According to AFP and other media reports, Trump wrote on his social media platform 'Truth Social': 'On July 4, we will host the largest Trump Rally in history at the beautiful and safe Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., in honor of America.'

In another post, Trump stated: 'On Wednesday, June 24, our summer-long series of events celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence will 'kick off,' welcoming everyone to enjoy a wonderful night of music, featuring talented performances by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps bands...'

Reports indicate that Trump has been attempting to leave his personal mark on the U.S. 250th anniversary, including hosting a mixed martial arts (MMA) competition on June 14—the day of his 80th birthday—at a specially constructed venue on the White House lawn.
