According to reports from Central News Agency, Kuomintang Pingtung County Councilor Chen Yang raised questions during the council's regular session on June 15 regarding the construction progress, business operations, transportation integration, and other key issues related to the Pingtung International Baseball Stadium.

The Department of Education stated that construction is currently 40% complete, with completion expected by the end of 2025. The Sports Development Center has already begun negotiations with domestic professional baseball teams, considering not only a primary home base but also a secondary venue in a phased development approach.

Additionally, a second-phase plan for the stadium is in progress, aligned with development in the High-Speed Rail Special Zone, and will involve commissioned project evaluations.

Pingtung County Magistrate Chow Chun-mi emphasized the county's commitment to baseball development and investment in related resources. She announced the establishment of a new Sports Development Bureau in January next year to coordinate with the central Ministry of Sports for effective policy implementation. Preparations for inaugural events following the stadium's completion are also underway.

The Pingtung International Baseball Stadium will be located within the High-Speed Rail Pingtung Special Zone, with a total budget of approximately NT$2.58 billion, and will have a seating capacity of 15,000 spectators.
