The Hualien City Office is set to host the music festival 'Mountain & Sea Echo: Hualien Soundwave' on August 22 and 23 at Zhongshan Park in Hualien City. The popular band Crowd Lu will headline the event, inviting music fans nationwide to enjoy a musical feast in the city embraced by mountains and sea.

Today, the Hualien City Office held a press conference to announce the lineup, with Crowd Lu joining Mayor Wei Jia-yan to unveil the roster. In addition to Crowd Lu’s headlining performance, the festival will feature performances by Su Hui-lun, Chou Hui, Amber Chiang, Tsai Min-you, Chuang Wen-hsuan, Wang Hung-en, Liang Wen-yin, Wen Hui-ju, Atom Boutique, Mo Zai Yang, Alan AC, and Pallas.

Mayor Wei stated that last year’s inaugural 'Mountain & Sea Echo: Hualien Soundwave' received an enthusiastic response, attracting a large number of music fans to Hualien and successfully boosting tourism and nighttime economic activity. This year’s event has been fully upgraded into a two-day, dual-theme concert, aiming to showcase Hualien’s scenic beauty, cultural charm, and urban vitality to a broader audience through cross-generational and cross-genre performances.

The Hualien City Office will also promote co-branded products developed in collaboration with the National Palace Museum, titled 'Palace in Harmony: Gifts from Hualien,' offering samples and pre-orders at the venue. Leveraging the foot traffic generated by the concert, the city aims to raise awareness of Hualien’s specialty products and cultural-creative goods, further driving local tourism and industrial development.

Moreover, the Hualien City Office continues to partner with enterprises for public welfare initiatives. Following last year’s signing of a 'Disaster Relief Mutual Support Agreement' with Far EasTone Telecommunications and a donation campaign with smartphone brand vivo for the Hualien City Charity Fund, the three parties have deepened their collaboration this year. From now until July 31, a public donation campaign is underway: for every vivo smartphone sold at Far EasTone stores, both companies will jointly donate NT$100 to the Hualien City Office’s public welfare account, encouraging more citizens to participate in community care and expanding the positive impact of corporate-local partnerships.

Mayor Wei emphasized that '2024 Mountain & Sea Echo: Hualien Soundwave' is more than just a music concert—it is a significant event integrating public welfare, tourism, and city branding. Admission is free for both days, and a specialty night market will be set up on-site, featuring local Hualien cuisine,文创 brands, and unique souvenirs. The public is warmly invited to gather in Hualien City from August 22 to 23.
