Taiwan-Singapore Co-Production Drama: Feng Xiao-Yueh Plays Alien Seeking Love, Meets Reclusive Writer Tseng Wan-Ting

(Taipei, June 15 - Reporter Hung Su-Chin) Actors Feng Xiao-Yueh and Tseng Wan-Ting star in the Taiwan-Singapore co-produced drama "Falling in Love with an Alien," where Feng portrays an alien who comes to Earth in search of true love and meets Tseng's character, a reclusive female screenwriter. Tseng admitted that if she weren't an entertainer, she might be just as unkempt as her character.

The new cross-strait film and television production "Falling in Love with an Alien" began filming today. The plot centers on an alien arriving on Earth to find true love. The alien character, played by Feng Xiao-Yueh, attempts to learn how to court women, resulting in comedic chaos—a romantic adventure battle between an alien and Earthlings.

In a press statement, Feng Xiao-Yueh expressed his belief that extraterrestrial life must exist in the universe. Regarding portraying the emotions of first love, he said it feels like "butterflies fluttering in the heart." Although his own first love ended when he was broken up with, causing him great emotional pain, the heartbreak lasted longer than the relationship itself, making him feel as if the world was ending.

Tseng Wan-Ting plays a reclusive screenwriter. She admitted that she doesn't particularly enjoy socializing outside of work and, if not an entertainer, might resemble her character in being careless about appearance.

Tseng shared that she isn't a particularly confident woman in relationships, often worrying about others having high expectations of her. Additionally, her inability to be affectionate caused her first love to drift away, as her feelings weren't clearly conveyed.
