(Central News Agency reporter Ho Hsiu-Ling, Taipei, June 15) The preparatory office of the Taipei Regenerative Medicine Business Association (TRMBA) announced today that with Taiwan's dual regenerative medicine laws taking effect this year, the need for integration of the regenerative and cell therapy industrial chain and cross-domain collaboration has increased. The industry requires communication with government agencies and exchanges with related organizations. Several regenerative and cell therapy companies have initiated the formation of the Taipei Regenerative Medicine Business Association, with the founding assembly scheduled for July 4.

The TRMBA preparatory office stated in a press release that the founding members represent various fields including regenerative and cell therapy manufacturing. The group includes Dr. Yeh Ming-Kung, former Director-General of Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare and current Chairman of Precision Biotech; Dr. Tseng Yu-Hung, Chairman of Cheng Yang Biomedical, specializing in regenerative medical cell culture media and new drug development; Dr. Hsu Shu-Hsing, Chairman of Rayfull Biomedical, focusing on exosome research and development; Dr. Huang Yu-Chieh, Chairman of Sunna Biotech, possessing core recombinant protein technology; and Dr. Tu Chang-Hung, Chairman of Bionex Biotech, an automated cell production provider.

The TRMBA preparatory office aims to unite cross-domain forces in cell therapy, exosomes, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and health technology, establishing a trade association to build a new future for Taiwan's regenerative medicine industry.

The preparatory office noted that regenerative medicine has developed rapidly in recent years, with exosome technology gaining significant attention. Exosome applications span disease detection, precision medicine, and regenerative repair. As the regulatory environment gradually improves, Taiwan is entering a crucial phase of accelerated growth and international alignment in the regenerative medicine industry.

Currently, the TRMBA preparatory office is recruiting founding members. Any enterprise or business entity legally registered and engaged in the production, sales, contract research, testing, agency, import, or export of regenerative medicine-related agents may apply. The goal is to consolidate industry strength and build an internationally competitive industrial platform.

The preparatory office announced that the founding general meeting will be held on July 4. After the association is formally established, its main missions will include promoting the development of manufacturing and sales of regenerative medicine agents, contract research (CRO), testing services, agency distribution, and international import-export operations. Going forward, by establishing an industry-government-academia-research-medical exchange platform, the association will assist members in understanding market trends, enhancing industrial competitiveness, safeguarding members' rights, promoting industrial standardization, and supporting government policy and regulatory development.
